5 bible verses to keep close in the new year

New year, same God 🙏🏽 Wishing everyone a Happy New Year and hope day one has been a great heartfelt start to the year. Scripture on new beginnings is always encouraging and we pray that this year is filled with hope, joy and success for you all.

We are kick starting 2023 with our first blog sharing a few of our favourite bible verses to hold onto while working on ourselves, on our goals - words and truths to remind us of what really matters, to keep us grounded, to encourage us and remain hopeful during times of self doubt, uncertainty and hardship.

SALAMO 65:11

“Ua e faaee i le tausaga le palealii o lou agalelei; o ou ala na tautulu ai mea lololo”.
"You crown the year with your goodness; your paths overflow with rich food”. Psalm 65:11

Our take from this verse: Head into 2023 strong in faith and fully trusting God’s plans for us.

FAATAOTO 14:30

“O le loto lelei, o le ola lea o le tino; a o le mataua, o le mea e pala ai ivi lea”
"A peaceful mind gives life to the body, but jealousy rots the bones” Proverbs 14:30

Our take from this verse: Do not compare yourself to others. There is room for everyone. God blessed us all in different ways.

FAATAOTO 16:9

“O le loto lelei, o le ola lea o le tino; a o le mataua, o le mea e pala ai ivi lea”
"People plan their path, but the Lord secures their steps” Proverbs 16:9

Our take from this verse: Our plans don’t mean a thing if they are not aligned with the will of the Lord.

1 PETERU 5:6-7

“Ia tuuina atu ia te ia mea uma tou te popole ai, auā o loo manatu mai o ia ia te outou”.
"Therefore, humble yourselves under God’s power so that he may raise you up in the last day. Throw all your anxiety onto him, because he cares about you”. 1 Peter 5:6-7

Our take from this verse: To fully know that we can at anytime pray to God for strength + guidance and He we lead the way. Pray and follow His commands.

ISAIA 40:31

“A o e faatalitali ia Ieova, e toe faafouina lo latou malosi; latou te sii ae apaau e pei o aeto; latou te femoei, a e le vaivai; latou te savavali, a e le tigaina”.
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength; they will fly up on wings like eagles; they will run and not be tired; they will walk and not be weary”. Isaiah 40:31

Our take from this verse: Go into 2023 with the power of God behind you, and you'll come out even stronger at the end.

Thankfully we are not heading into the new year alone. Share with your loved ones, your neighbours, a complete stranger.
You never know who needs to hear God’s word in any given moment.
